In July 1995, Sauk Valley Hospice and Whiteside County Hospice merged to establish Hospice of the Rock River Valley. For more than 20 years we have provided expert care to the residents of Lee, Whiteside, Bureau, Carroll and Ogle counties. HRRV embraces the Hospice philosophy, which affirms life and regards dying as a normal process that should neither be hastened or prolonged.

Hospice offers free educational programs in our communities. Staff members and trained volunteers are available to present a variety of customized programs to your business, group or organization.

Memorials, donations, grants and other community funding comprise more than 30 percent of HRRV's annual operating budget and ensure the availability of Hospice services to all who need them.

HRRV is a fully licensed hospice program, and is also certified as a Medicare/Medicaid provider. HRRV holds professional memberships with both the Illinois and National Hospice and Palliative Care organizations.
