Our Mission

"By Your Side, Our Family Caring For Your Family."

Hospice of the Rock River Valley affirms life by providing exceptional care and support to those transitioning through serious illness, death and grief.

Why Hospice of the Rock River Valley?

Founded by volunteers in 1982, following a need for care of terminally-ill patients by the Whiteside County Board, Whiteside County Hospice was formed.  In 1995, Sauk Valley Hospice and Whiteside County Hospice merged to establish Hospice of the Rock River Valley. These programs brought together boards, staff and volunteers, and combined their knowledge and experience to provide an even higher quality of care to the terminally-ill in Lee and Whiteside counties as well as Bureau, Carroll and Ogle counties. Hospice of the Rock River Valley remains the only independent, non-profit hospice in the Sauk Valley area. HRRV has been providing expert and compassionate quality care to our communities for more than 30 years.
Hospice of the Rock River Valley is a community hospice responding to community needs.
The support of the Sauk Valley area allows all of our resources to support patient care and programs that benefit our patients and families. We provide services to everyone regardless of age or ability to pay, and offers free programs to the community.
