Annual Memorial Service
Hospice of the Rock River Valley hosts an annual memorial service typically in May. The service is a way to remember those loved ones whom we have lost during the previous year and carry their memory with us into the future. You do not have to have used hospice services to participate or attend.
The 2015 Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 22 at the New Life Lutheran Church, 702 W. Lynn Blvd., in Sterling. The service is open to anyone who has lost a loved one. If you did not use hospice and would like your loved one's name and/or photograph included in the service call 815-288-3673.
Camp Love N Loss
Camp Love n Loss is a unique and innovative one day summer camp program designed specifically for children ages 6-13 who have suffered the loss of a loved one. A mixture of fun activities, including games, discussions and focused arts and crafts, allows children to express feelings and concerns, identify supportive people, and find appropriate ways to use memories for healing and growth; with the theme of offering true HOPE for their future. Camp is free of charge to all and usually held during the month of June.
Individuals can purchase ornaments in honor of or in memory of a loved one. These ornaments are available at the Hospice of the Rock River Valley office. Order Form
